This is a self-contained lodge in Blickinstal Retreat, which can host 4 guests., The lodge features a queen bed with starred-hotel linens, an indoor fireplace, a kitchen, and a bathroom.
Bedroom - one Queen bed
Downstairs living room - one double-size Sofa bed, coffee table and smart TV.
Air conditioning also comes with heating functions.
In the common area, there are BBQ facilities (reservation required) and outdoor dining seating with a fantastic panoramic view. The outdoor fire pit is available outside of the fire danger season (1st May – 30th Nov). You can also find a shared laundry room on the premises.
Please kindly note that we do not provide firewood/charcoal, so you may need to prepare your own. Thank you again for your understanding.
Living with Nature
Our home is located in the beautiful South Australian countryside, where we share the land with local wildlife. While we have professional pest control services regularly, it is impossible to keep every insect out 100% of the time, especially during or after heavy rain when they seek shelter indoors.
If you have a significant phobia of insects or expect a completely bug-free environment, a rural stay might not be the best fit for you. We appreciate your understanding of the authentic country lifestyle!

The photo's were accurate, I mistakenly thought there were three lodges in a row and was pleased that Lodge 2, which we stayed in, was at the end not in the middle. The middle door is a laundry. This means guests have privacy even if both Lodges are occupied. The internal design works very well, it feels much nicer indoors than you'd expect from photos. Pretty bathroom with a spa bath too. This Lodge gives you peace and quiet amongst the vineyards but is only a hop, skip and a jump from Tanunda.
Great communication with hosts, accommodation was comfortable and clean. Nice bathroom. Kitchen needs an update, there is no exhaust fans or oven. Garden area needs major repair and maintenance. Reasonable value for money in this condition
Spacious cottage to relax after a long day in the Barossa. Has all the basic items you need for a relaxing afternoon. Would stay again.

We loved our stay at this peaceful lodge! It was clean, comfortable, and quaint - perfect for a quick and quiet escape. Especially loved the large spa bath. We booked last minute, and we really appreciate the quick responses to our reservation. We would absolutely stay again!
