This is a self-contained lodge in Blickinstal Retreat, which can host 4 guests., The lodge features a queen bed with starred-hotel linens, an indoor fireplace, a kitchen, and a bathroom.
Bedroom - one Queen bed
Downstairs living room - one double-size Sofa bed.
Air conditioning also comes with heating functions.
In the common area, there are BBQ facilities (reservation required) and outdoor dining seating with a fantastic panoramic view. The outdoor fire pit is available outside of the fire danger season (1st May – 30th Nov). You can also find a shared laundry room on the premises.
We conduct pest control every three months to maintain the property’s cleanliness and comfort. Being located in a rural area, the property is naturally more susceptible to occasional insects, especially during the summer months. This is a common occurrence in such settings, while in winter, the situation generally improves. Our regular pest control schedule helps keep everything in check and ensures a pleasant environment for our guests.

Great little place for a weekend away for two. Private, country location, comfy bed and spa, kitchenette facilities. Close to some world class wineries and other attractions in the Barossa. Previous reviews mentioned issues with cleaning, however we found our space well cleaned and nicely presented. Hosts prompt with communication and flexible with our arrival and leaving time. Thanks for a lovely long weekend.

We loved our stay at Blickinstal Retreat - well-set out, comfortable bed and lodge, kitchenette was great for making food at home, fireplace was lovely. The spa bubbles didn't work, but it was pleasant as a bath. This was a great stay, we'd happily recommend to others.
Cosy little place for a winter stay. Great fireplace, we got some wines from nearby wineries and snuggled in for a great winter getaway
We stayed in Lodge 2 and it was fantastic. The place was very clean and so quiet and peaceful. Couldn't recommend it more.

We loved our 2 night stay at Blickinstal Retreat. Clean and tidy, and just what we needed for our family of 3 using the sopha bed. It was a little unclear which building was ours but once we found Lodge 1 & 2 was up the top of the property, it was easy to enter using the lockbox outside the room. Note to BYO wood if you’d like to use the fire. It was quiet and had lovely views of vineyards and hills as we walked around the property. We’d definitely stay again!

Nice quiet location. Comfortable bed. Have to climb in spa for shower. Dirt rutty road to get in to location, not well marked if arriving at night. Bring torch to access accommodation if arriving at night.
